The Anglican Diocese of Curitiba was created in 2003, after the General Synod’s approval in May 31st 2003.

Our Diocesan Bishop is the Rt. Rev. Naudal Alves Gomes, who was previously the Suffragan Bishop of the Southwestern Brazil Diocese.

In July 27th 2003, he was instituted at the newly dedicated St. James’ Cathedral.

The Curitiba Diocese is composed by 06 parishes, 04 missions and 06 preaching points, comprising 1,500 faithful in the state of Paraná.

We also rejoice in having a very young companionship process with the Episcopal Diocese of California, and look forward to establish connections with our brothers and sisters there in order to help God’s kingdom grow.
